An award-winning screenwriter, Sharon’s favorite stories to write have strong female characters doing extraordinary things.

 

Her start into feature writing took her around the globe: Catching India, for Jennifer Siebel Newsom, sent Sharon to India to interview heads of government, and won her the Goa International Screenplay Award; The Wine Revolt to Bordeaux, to meet with world-renowned wine vintners; her rom-com Of Corset’s Mine to England, to study the 19th century. The script won Edgemar Theatre’s Best Original Stage Play and Dreamago’s Plume & Pellicule, being produced by String and a Can with Jason Connery directing Spring 2021. She was tapped by Voltage Pictures and Offspring to adapt the third and fourth best-selling YA novels, After We Fell and After Ever Happy.  Her true and inspirational story ROO!, about a girl and her dog, is being produced by Resonate Entertainment and Metro International, with 13 Films setting up her rom-com Dumb It Down. Sharon has written on many Disney series, as well as for Freeform. Her TV movie Love On The Air was Hallmark's submission for the Emmy's, and a Leo Award winner. Her half hour comedy series Harmful If Swallowed, about the pharma world, was bought by Participant Media. Her female-led drama series, HOT, is set up with Bronwyn Cornelius and Element 8 entertainment.  She is developing the series SAVED with Kerry David, inspired by Kerry’s multi award-winning doc about women fighting poachers Breaking Their Silence.

 

Having studied film at UCLA, Sharon is a past writer and performer of famed Groundling sketch comedy players and Second City, is an active member of the Women’s Writer’s Guild Committee, and sits on the board of the Hollywood Women’s Film Festival.

            About Andy

Andy Soboil has a longstanding successful background in the foodservice industry. After five successful years, he sold his much-touted all-organic fast food operation O!burger, the first in the country.  Andy had been employed as a personal chef to many celebrities, i.e. Johnny Carson and the Cage family as well as high profile corporate executives, in their homes and on their private yachts. He has been working as a luxury yacht chef since 1991, privately and on charters. Other credits include working with Saveur Magazine, as the host of a cooking show that he created and which was filmed as a television pilot in Spain.  He holds a Diploma In Hotel Management from The Hotel School of South Africa, and took many courses at The Natural Gourmet Cooking School in New York, which specializes in health food preparation. Andy comes from a family of restaurateurs who owned a number of hotels and restaurants in South Africa. He has traveled and worked around the world fine honing his cooking skills and is also fluent in Portuguese, Flemish, English and Spanish
