SHARON SOBOIL, originally from Marin County, arrived in Los Angeles with a prestigious dance scholarship. However, her real passion was quickly realized to be in writing characters. She has gone on to write for Amazon, Disney, Fox, Netflix, Freeform, Participant Media, Voltage, and Offspring among others. She recently adapted the third and fourth NY Times best-selling YA novels from the highly successful AFTER franchise – AFTER WE FELL (Netflix) and AFTER EVER HAPPY (in theaters September 2022). Her passion for women-led material has taken her around the globe – to India for the sex-trafficking story CATCHING INDIA (Jennifer Siebel Newsom); To Bordeaux for THE WINE REVOLT; and to England for the period rom-com WHERE THERE’S A WILL. Sharon’s other film work includes Leo award-winning TV movie LOVE ON THE AIR (Eone), and the upcoming inspirational true story ROO! (Resonate Entertainment), and RULE (Offspring) adapted from the best-selling novel. In addition to HOT, a series set in Palm Springs that she is developing with Hayley Schore (The Resident), she is also setting up the series SAVED with Kerry David, set in the world of wildlife trafficking; and has a featured monologue in the upcoming premiere of PERIOD PIECE, opening at the Apollo Theater in Chicago in March 2023. A past member of famed Groundlings and Second City, she is an active member of the Women’s Writer’s Guild Committee. She is repped by Josh Kesselman at Thruline Entertainment.
Andy Soboil has a longstanding successful background in the foodservice industry. After five successful years, he sold his much-touted all-organic fast food operation O!burger, the first in the country. Andy had been employed as a personal chef to many celebrities, i.e. Johnny Carson and the Cage family as well as high profile corporate executives, in their homes and on their private yachts. He has been working as a luxury yacht chef since 1991, privately and on charters. Other credits include working with Saveur Magazine, as the host of a cooking show that he created and which was filmed as a television pilot in Spain. He holds a Diploma In Hotel Management from The Hotel School of South Africa, and took many courses at The Natural Gourmet Cooking School in New York, which specializes in health food preparation. Andy comes from a family of restaurateurs who owned a number of hotels and restaurants in South Africa. He has traveled and worked around the world fine honing his cooking skills and is also fluent in Portuguese, Flemish, English and Spanish.
